Breast Cancer Now - Free Breast Health Training for Glasgow and Lanarkshire Professionals

The public health team at Breast Cancer Now are launching a pilot programme across Glasgow and Lanarkshire and you are invited to get involved.

Their free Train the Trainer programme equips local healthcare professionals and community workers with the knowledge and confidence to promote breast awareness, screening and risk reduction within their own communities. The aim is simple and powerful: increase screening uptake and support earlier presentation to GPs when changes are noticed.

Live online workshops for those working in Glasgow:
26 March | 10am to 2:30pm

The workshop is completely free. Participants receive a certificate of completion, access to resources and ongoing support from the delivery team to help develop targeted, community focused initiatives.

Prefer to learn at your own pace? A free self directed eLearning course is also available. It takes around two hours in total and can be completed flexibly within three months of enrolment.

There is no cost for the training, support or resources. All that is asked in return is feedback on your engagement activity, including numbers and outcomes. A small grant fund of up to £1,500 is also available to support community engagement work.

If you’d like to book a space on this online live workshop or be enrolled onto our eLearning course, please contact:

confirming your role title, organisation name + postcode, plus a suitable postal address to receive a small resource pack for the training, which can be home or work.
